Children of the Pinxton Village Academies hold fun-filled Colour Dash for charity raising over 拢4000 -so far!

Hundreds of children from Pinxton Village Academies have joined together to hold a fundraising Colour Dash for the Lifting Children鈥檚 Hopes (LCH) charity, raising over 拢4000!

Pinxton Village Academies is the collective name for three schools in Pinxton, all members of the 爱豆传媒入口. The schools are Kirkstead Junior Academy, Longwood Infant Academy and John King Infant Academy.

To accommodate the huge event, 453 children and staff from the three schools converged on the large playing field at Kirkstead Junior Academy.

Anne Ingle is Headteacher at the Pinxton Village Academies, and she said children and staff had a wonderful time. 鈥淲e are delighted to be able to support the Lifting Children鈥檚 Hopes Charity with such a colourful event for our children.

鈥淎t the heart of the charity鈥檚 work is a commitment to ensuring that all children have access to the same opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed, -aims which align with those of Pinxton Village Academies. Our Colour Dash was a wonderful way for our academies to give back to a charity that does so much to support young people.鈥

Anne said that the school community had ensured the success of children鈥檚 fundraising efforts, commenting, 鈥淥nce again, our Pinxton community have shown amazing generosity by supporting our children to raise this staggering amount of money. A huge thank you to everyone.鈥

Year 6 pupil Roman said, 鈥淲e have been running around the school field and getting covered in colours! We are doing it for charity, and we are happy to be doing it because we are helping other people.聽 I am sure we will raise lots of money because we are 3 schools together and have lots of children.鈥

Scarlett is in Year 6 said, 鈥淚 have really enjoyed it, and the teachers have had fun too. I think it鈥檚 a really good thing to raise money to help people who need it. All of my friends are smiling, and everyone has had a good time.鈥

Lifting Children鈥檚 Hopes (LCH), is a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people across the East Midlands. It provides a range of services including mental health support, financial assistance for low-income households, and also enriching experiences and family events, including short breaks and day trips for children. The charity also works closely with schools and holds as its aim, a world where all children have opportunity to flourish.
