The charity also works closely with schools and holds as its aim, a world where all children have opportunity to flourish.
Taking place on a sunny day, the Haddon fundraiser saw approximately 230 children, alongside their teachers and support staff, running through clouds of colour in a fun and laughter filled event.

Nathan Burton is Deputy Headteacher at Haddon Primary & Nursery School and said, 鈥淎t Haddon Primary and Nursery School, we chose to raise money for the LCH Charity because of the incredible support they have provided to many of our children and families. Through their generosity, they have helped with clothing, cinema tickets, Santa visits, school equipment and toiletries, making a significant difference to some of our most vulnerable children and families.
鈥淭he Colour Dash fundraising plays a vital role in strengthening the LCH Charity鈥檚 ability to support children where the need is greatest, whilst also giving our pupils a meaningful, real-world opportunity to demonstrate compassion, generosity and outstanding citizenship.鈥
Year 4 pupil, Rafferty enjoyed the opportunity to take part, saying, 鈥淭he Colour Dash was really fun for everybody in school. Even people who didn鈥檛 want to get messy still enjoyed cheering their friends on. It was a real team effort.
鈥淚 raised around 拢190 for the LCH Charity with help from my family and friends. I am proud to be one of the highest sponsor raisers in school because it helps families and other schools to do things that they may not be able to do otherwise.
鈥淢y favourite part was my class鈥檚 second run, because we already knew what was coming and I ran super-fast and finished first! At the end, the teacher鈥檚 run was fun to watch because we got to
see our teachers, who threw paint at us, get messy themselves. This experience was something I have never done before and something I will never forget. I鈥檇 love to do it again next year!鈥

Alice Hallam is a Teaching Assistant at the school and said, 鈥淭he Colour Dash was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the fundraising event. The children had an amazing time running, laughing and being covered from head to toe in vibrant colours as they completed the course. Although many of them went home a little messier than they arrived, they thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the experience.
鈥淭he event created a fantastic atmosphere of fun, teamwork and excitement, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces taking part while raising money for such a worthwhile cause.鈥
Jennifer Etherington is also a Teaching Assistant and said, 鈥淲e are immensely proud of all the children who took part in the fundraising efforts, helping to ensure that the charity can continue to support families in need.鈥
Fiona Hutchinson is the school鈥檚 Business Manager, and she said the event aligned with the school鈥檚 values, commenting, 鈥淥ur children and staff have demonstrated our DREAM values by being responsible, achieving an amazing amount of funds, being determined to help one another by showing kindness to others.
鈥淭he money raised is a true reflection of the generosity, enthusiasm and commitment shown by our pupils, families and staff, and we are so excited to continue to work with the Lifting Children鈥檚 Hopes Charity.鈥
