Our offer

” Despite the complexity, literacy is the global metric we use to assess health and the competence of communities” (National Council of Teachers of English)聽

Literacy is connected to so much and therefore, when we develop a professional learning offer, we have to keep this in mind.聽 Our LEC offer has been produced with the aim of supporting schools to improve the literacy levels of young people.

Some sessions are open to all staff for free, some charge a small fee, and some are member only.聽 Scroll down to find more about what’s on offer.

2026/27 Programme Launch

Join us, either in person or online for the official launch of the Literacy Excellence Centre鈥檚 2026/27 programme, designed specifically for School Leaders, MAT leaders and Local Authority colleagues.

This session will provide a strategic overview of national literacy priorities, alongside focused CPL input exploring a current literacy challenge facing schools. You will also be among the first to preview new content and resources, gaining insight into how the Literacy Excellence Centre will support schools over the coming year.

This is an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow leaders, influence future provision, and strengthen your whole-school approach to literacy.
