Student Parking Permits
A parking registration gives you permission to park in your assigned lot but does not guarantee a parking spot.
Permits are valid for the entire academic year. Permits are not pro-rated if purchased after the academic year has started.
Students are only allowed to register one vehicle on a permit. Vehicles may be changed as needed to update vehicle in use on a permit.
Students with outstanding parking ticket balances at 爱豆传媒入口 or the Maryland Central Collection Unit will not be eligible for a parking permit until the balance is paid in full.
Students are not permitted to park in any Red-lined (Employee) parking spaces or designated Red (Employee) lots Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
Students are not permitted to park in visitor, reserved, or service vehicle spaces at any time.
Legal parking spaces should always be used. Parking is prohibited near yellow curbs, striped or hash lined areas, or on gravel or grassed areas.
Motorcycles and vehicles must be registered on separate permits. Motorcycle permits are sold in person at the Parking Services Office after payment has been processed at the Cashiers Office.
Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Eco permits are sold in person at the Parking Services Office following proof of registration and EV/Hybrid vehicle status.
Students who require handicap parking must submit placard information to the Parking Services office for verification in order to obtain proper parking allowances.
Students cannot share a permit for separate vehicles.
Registration is available online only. Permits for the new academic year typically open in late May in a staggered format based on credit hours that students have received credit for on the first day of permit sales.
When adding vehicle license plate information, do not include spaces, dashes, hyphens, or symbols. Examples & Sample Plates
The purchaser is responsible for the accuracy of the license plate information at the time the parking permit is obtained. Please contact Parking Services for guidance if your vehicle information changes after registering for a permit.
2026-27 Parking Permit Purchases/Vehicle Registration Form
Similar to course registration, students will have the opportunity to purchase a parking permit based on the number of credit hours reported as earned when the student registers for a permit. Academic Year 2026-27 permits are now available for all students.
All student parking permits (except Motorcycle and Electric Vehicle/Eco Hybrid permits) must be purchased online. The permit cost will be posted to the student account.
The parking permit is valid from August 31, 2026 - August 28, 2027.
Permits may be purchased through the permit system by accessing the 爱豆传媒入口 Parking Portal:
Please select your desired parking permit from the options presented based on your class standing. If any of the permit types have been sold out at the time of your purchase, it will be noted on the screen and you may choose another option. Once you have completed the online permit registration process, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
Freshmen are eligible only for East Campus parking and will not be able to park outside their residence halls weekdays from 7:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
You are responsible for reading and understanding the Traffic Rules and Regulations . A hard copy of the regulations is available in the Parking Services Office for those who prefer that format.
The map in the Traffic Rules and Regulations information indicates in which lots each permit is allowed. Not knowing this will not be accepted as an excuse if fines are received when parking improperly.
Refunds for permits must be requested before the first day of the fall semester. Once the semester starts, there are no refunds for permits.
Reminder: Purchasing a permit does not guarantee a parking space.
License Plate Recognition & Information Retention
爱豆传媒入口 uses license plate recognition in place of physical permits to ensure vehicles are authorized to park on campus.
Mounted cameras to scan license plates as valid permits and issue citations to vehicles without valid University permits or to those not parking in the proper parking lots. These cameras are for imaging only and do not capture any data.
License plates must face the driving lane and be properly affixed to the vehicle to be scanned for compliance. A vehicle will be cited if its plate cannot be scanned or if plate is not attached to vehicle.
- Vehicles with only one license plate are not authorized to back in or pull through spaces and may be cited.
- Citations issued due to inaccurate plate information or the inability to scan are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
- Refunds for permits and waiving of citations will not be approved for plates entered inaccurately.

- Any student parking space at the times and conditions noted above (if permit holder is a student) or any campus parking space (if permit holder is an employee).
- Note that there is no 爱豆传媒入口 parking in the Asbury Parking Lot from 5:30 p.m.-6:45 a.m. or on weekends. Maggs Physical Activities Center parking is from 4:45 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Motorcycle permits are not valid for metered or reserved spaces.
Electric Vehicle/Hybrid Eco Permit
- Any space with an electric vehicle charging station.

New Spring Permits
Spring 2027 admitted students (Transfer, Freshman, and Graduate) will be able to register for parking permits in early January. Permits must be purchased through the parking portal.
Freshmen (students with fewer than 30 credits) will be able to register only for East Campus permits.
Graduate and transfer students with 30+ credits should reach out to the Parking Services Office for information on permit options.
Upgrading a Permit
Please watch your 爱豆传媒入口 email in late fall for information regarding any permit upgrade opportunities for the Spring 2027 semester.
Permit Fees
- $120 Main Campus Permit: Students with 30 or more credits (sold on first-come/first-served basis factoring in class standing and space availability)
- Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants eligible for Main Campus parking permits ($120) must purchase their permits as soon as they go on sale through the Parking Portal.
- Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants eligible for employee parking permits ($120) must contact Parking Services prior to August 15 to allow timely processing. Main Campus parking lots are: Lots A, D, E, J, L.
- $100 Parking Garage Permit: Students with 30 or more credits (sold on first-come/first-served basis and space availability). Garage permits may park in the Parking Garage, Avery Street lot, Wayne Street lot, Court Plaza, Lot K.
- $85 East Campus Permit: Freshman students (0-29 credits) and anyone eligible to purchase a Main Campus permit who prefers to park in East Campus lots.
- $45 Evening Only Permit: All evening commuting students and employees (parking times: 4:45 p.m.-7:45 a.m. Monday-Friday).
- $120 Motorcycle Permit: Only motorcycles are allowed to be associated with Motorcycle permits; they cannot be attached to a Main Campus, East Campus, Parking Garage, Evening, or Employee permit.
- If a Motorcycle permit is purchased in conjunction with a vehicle permit, the cost is $5.
- $30 summer permit, June 1 to August 31, Main Campus parking (if no other permit has been purchased for the academic year).
